Fulfilling A Mission
"My life’s goal has been to help others. Since 2011, I worked as a social worker with families of at risk youth in crisis. Many were on the verge of being removed from their home and placed in either foster care or juvenile detention centers.
I worked with adolescents and their families to help them develop healthy coping skills to manage their feelings and behaviors. The young people and families I worked with needed to explore their situations with someone with a non judgmental approach so they could learn how to make sense in a world they felt little or no control over.
God placed a calling on my heart to do more. So I went back to school. I enrolled in the Masters of Art program in Professional Counseling at Liberty University while I continued to work full time. I completed my Masters and became a therapist. I grew from every experience, I had to learn how to help myself first, and now I want to help you. No one should live a life that is riddled with self doubt from trauma, insecurities from negative self-talk, low self-esteem, anxiety or depression. I want that for everyone.
My passion is to empower individuals and families to be able to live their lives to their full potential. My desire is to work with young people, families and adults to increase self confidence, work through issues so they can manage emotions and express their feelings in healthy ways. It’s so exciting to think about the limitless possibilities and all the potential that life has to offer if we allow ourselves to heal.
